Foshan University
As full-time comprehensive university by merging the university's predecessor, Foshan University (built on its 1950s
origins), with Foshan Agriculture & Animal Husbandry College. The niversity has two campuses, one in Foshan Chancheng district, and the
other in Nanhai district, covering a land area of 141.22 Hectares.
The
University is located in the downtown area of Foshan; the business
centre of the city is within 10-15 minutes walk. Bus stops stand at both
the front and back gates of the university.
Foshan
Founded
in Jin Dynasty (AD215-316) and was given the name in Tang Dynasty
(AD628), is a famous cultural city with a long history. It was one of
the ancient famous cities, well known at home and abroad for its
handicraft industry. It was also the biggest commodities terminal,
listed as one of the "Four Terminals” in China (Beijing in the North,
Foshan in the South, Suzhou in the East and Hankou in the West).
Geographic Location
Foshan
is located at the centre of Guangdong Province, the inland of Pearl
River Delta, within north latitude 22°38’ to 23°34’ and east longitude
112°22’ and 113°23’. It is adjacent to Guangzhou at the east, the
capital city of the province, about 100 km to Macao and Hong Kong.
Climate
Foshan
City is close to the sea, with most of the area located at the south of
the tropic region, where the climatic type belongs to subtropical
seasonal wind humid climate, with annual average temperature at 22.1℃
and rainfall of 1600-2000ml.
Population
The
total population of Foshan is 3.3585 million, including 0.8008 million
city residents. Foshan is a famous homeland of overseas Chinese, with
more than 1 million living overseas, including 0.6 million living in
Hong Kong and Macao.
Convenient Transportation
To
Guangzhou: there is shuttle bus to GZ every 15 minutes from 7:00 am-9:00
pm at Foshan bus station; alternatively, 15 minutes by underground to
be accessed in year 2005.
To Hong Kong: the ferry costing 140RMB;
Shuttle bus costing 160RMB available every day at the downtown; thea
train ticket to HK costing 220 RMB.

Program Fees
Tuition and Fee
1) Tuition fee: USD2500 per academic year
2) Accommodation Fee: around USD1500 per academic year not including
air-conditioning electricity bill for a single study bedroom.
3) Expenses on books, assistant teaching apparatus, food, students’
association fee, medical insurance and clothing are to be self-borne.
